Apache

Apache joined our family in December of 2008. He is a beautiful buckskin miniature horse. We adopted him from a rescue group in Weatherford. I had been considering getting Sockit a horse friend for some time and while looking for a miniature daschund for a client at work I stumbled upon Apache. I took one look at those eyes in his picture and knew he was meant to be mine. He was born April 25, 2005.

He is very sweet and is alwasy the first one to greet you when you walk into the pasture. He is very nosey and always has to be in the middle of the action. He gets along very well with Blondie and Sockit. He loves to run, buck and play with Sockit and does not understand why Blondie does not want to join them. He loves food and any treats you may have handy. Apache adores getting attention, but he is still learning he is not the boss of everybody. Sockit puts him in his place when needed but they really do love each other's company. Apache was an amazing addition to our herd. He has helped Sockit come out of his shell and even though we are working on his alpha tendancies with humans he is turning out to be awesome. He loves a good head rub and seems to fall into a trance when you hug him and rub his head. He is quite a character, and always wants to be the one getting the attention. We are very pleased to have such a sweet boy in our family.

(Pictures coming soon, waiting for him to shed his winter coat)
