Ferrie Tails Farm

Nigerian Dwarf, Mini LaMancha, Boki Goats and Miniature Horses

Deb P's Toby Keith Covel

Toby was the first goat I picked out and since he was only 23 hours old I had to wait a while before I brought him and his brother home. He was born June 11th, 2006. He is our only blue-eyed goat. He is also our quietest goat. We have discovered over time that our hunches were correct and Toby is deaf. It doesn't slow him down and he doesn't seem to care. He is a perfectly normal goat in all other aspects and even though he is a little shy around strangers he is one of our sweetest goats.

We also have his twin brother, Richie. Many thanks to Deb Phelp's at Deb P Farm for giving me these boys. Toby is AGS & NDGA registered.

Even though Toby is very quiet he is by no means a push-over, in fact, he is very quick to put lower ranking goats in their place. Toby is very inquisitive. He is very interested in everything I do. Since he can not hear he watches very intensely and absorbs all he observes. He also wants his pastures looking proper. When John mows or weed eats, he has to check it out and make sure it's done right. The loud noises don't phase him at all, in fact I think he relishes in feeling the vibrations from the mower, weed-eater or other "loud" objects. Judging by the look on his face in the first picture, I think he is working on his human characteristics.
